CVBrief bio: I received Dipl.-Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in 2002 from RWTH Aachen University, and Dr.-Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2007 from the Technische Universitaet Berlin under the supervision of Prof. Holger Boche. In 2012 I became Docent in Communication Theory at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. In November 2008 I joined the Communication Theory Department at KTH as a Post-Doctoral Researcher, was an Assistant Professor between July 2010 and April 2013, an Associate Professor between May 2014 and October 2018 and have been a Professor since Nov 2018. In June 2021, I became Fellow of KTH Digital Futures. Selected Awards and GrantsIn 2002 I received the “Herbert-Doering Award” for my Diploma Thesis and the Best Paper Award on the 6th Int. Student Conf. of Elect. Eng. of the CTU Prague. I received the Best Student Paper Award and Best Paper Award on the 8th IEEE Works. on Signal Proc. Adv. in Wirel. Commun. in 2007 and Int. ICST Conf. Commun. Netw. in 2010 and the “Vodafone Förderpreis” (Advancement Award) from the Vodafone Foundation in June 2009. In 2010 I was awarded an SRA ICT-TNG starting grant, in 2012 I was awarded a VR Junior Research grant and in 2016 I was awarded a VR Project grant. I were coordinator of the European CHIST-ERA project COPES - COnsumer-centric Privacy in smart Energy gridS . Among some other smaller projects, I am currently engaged in the exciting European project ULISSES. Academic Service
