Anders Möller was born in Oskarshamn the 11th of January 1982. He has been studying Master of Science in Applied Physics and Electronics with a specialization in Applied Mathematics at Linköping University. Within his Master studies he has spend one year at the Technical University of Munich and one year at the Politecnic University of Madrid. He made his Master Thesis on the topic of voice characteristics of sleep apnea patients. Currently he is a Ph.D. student within the Center of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CIAM) and his research concerns power control problems in telecommunication networks. His academic supervisor is Xiaoming Hu.

Research:

My research project is made in cooperation with Ericsson and concerns analysis and design of power control algorithms in wireless networks. The main application is power control in uplink in cellular networks (WCDMA). I model and develop theory to better understand and characterize the fundamental properties of systems with time delays. Common for wireless networks is that the capacity is limited by noise and interference created by the users on the same channel (frequency). One important issue is how to best analyse the interference to reduce its destabilizing effects to a system.
