I presented preliminary results of our novel framework using model predictive control for adaptive radiation therapy planning in order to pro-actively mitigate geometric uncertainties and adapt the treatment plans during the whole course of treatment.

We introduce a novel framework for adaptive radiation therapy combining robust optimization with adaptive reoptimization. The proposed robust adaptive strategies succeed in identifying the right candidates for an adaptive treatment and adapt their plans according the measured interfractional variations. The findings of our study have been published in Medical Physics under title Toward Robust Adaptive Radiation Therapy Strategies.
