After having some problems, Andreas and Daniel knows what kind of problems,
catching the 8am flight UA 1559 to San Francisco on the 25th of February, we first set our foots on
California soil. Bjorn, one of my friends from the Military Service, met us at the Airport with, as always, a
big smile on his face, making us feel welcome.

The Stanford University has a fine reputation all over the world and also
proved to look quite nice.

San Francisco City

The city of San Francisco is really a nice place to stroll around in on a few sunny
days. Fishermans Warf, the hills and all the victorian houses is something for itself
and then there is the Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, the vibrant downtown and...

Alcatraz - The Rock

Of course, for me, the peak of the SF visit. The Rock is really something extra, the
jail itself with the terrific self-guided audio tour, the fantastic views of the city,
its history and wildlife. If you are around, go there! Comment; as we all know, the US
Government claims that no-one has ever escaped from Alcatraz, but both you and I know that
at least the Phantom, Clint Eastwood and Sean Connery has done it.
