Radio in the Local Loop (RLL)

With DECT expected to support 50,000 users per km^2 and 30% of all business telephones behind a PBX are expected to be cordless by the year 2000[10], thus there will be a very large number of cordless handsets and PBXs a very substantial decrease in local loop lines at the exchanges! [This applies to both the public exchanges and PBXs.]

Thus the types of PBXs and the wiring infrastructure will change from those used presently.
