Expectations + Change in ownership of infrastructure

Portable radios and televisions [e.g., SONY Walkman/Watchman/...], pagers, cordless and cellular phones, have made users accustom to mobile communications - increasingly these systems support personal communications {i.e., every user has his or her own and takes it where ever they go}.

Cordless phones, LANs, and PBXs have encouraged users to own their own local infrastructure
rather than renting it (directly or indirectly) from someone else.

However, more and more local infrastructures will be remotely managed?
