Learning

• The Forgetting curve and the Spacing effect both are closely related to the importance of repetition in learning.
• "The negative effects of computers on learing" (translated), p36 in T. Klingberg, Framtidens Digitala lärande, Natur och Kultur 2023. He cites: Examining the affects on student multitasking with laptops during lecture, by Kraushaa, Novak, The laptop and the lecture by Hembrooke. He also points out on p33 that reading on the screen makes it harder to retain information, and ends with the example: A student in the 6:th class reading from the screen has the same understanding as a student from the 4:th class reading a book. He quotes among other this ref. as the base for his argument: Reading across mediums: Effects of reading digital and print texts on comprehension and calibration by Singer and Alexander.
