Format
The reading course is embedded into an international reading group consisting of PhD students, postdocs and young faculty from several different European universities. The group meets once per week for a seminar talk by one of the participants, followed by discussions.
Registration
A limited number of places is reserved for PhD students in Stockholm. If you are interested in participating please get in contact with the organizers.
Literature
Prerequisites
Besides general mathematical maturity (master in mathematics or equivalent) a solid background in polyhedral geometry as well as fundamentals of algebra/algebraic geometry are required.
Examination (tentative)
To fulfill the course requirements, every participant has to give a seminar talk (75 min) and write a seminar paper on the topic of the talk. Furthermore, every participant will be assigned to write a shorter summary of another talk in the course. We furthermore expect active participation and regular attendance.
