Ali Abbas Zaidi |
Bio: Ali Abbas Zaidi was born in 1983, Pakistan. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with Rector’s Gold medal from National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Pakistan in 2005. In 2008 he completed Master’s degree in Wireless Systems from KTH Royal Institute of Technology Sweden, with highest grades. Since November 2008, he is a PhD candidate in Communication Theory lab. at KTH, working under the supervision of Dr. Mikael Skoglund and Dr. Tobias Oechtering. Currently he is also working as an intern at ABB Corporate Research, Sweden. He has held visiting research positions at Queen’s university Canada during Jan.-July 2011 and Lund University in November 2012. During summer 2007, he worked with Catena Radio Design in Netherlands. Fields of Interests: Wireless Communications, Statistical Signal Processing, Feed-back Control. His research interests span communication theory, statistical signal processing, and stochastic control. In particular, he is interested in information transmission, information processing, and feedback control for wireless networked systems. He has worked on several research projects related to sensing, transmission, estimation, detection, and feedback control for wireless systems.
