Desktop vs. mobile worker in the future

There will only be mobile workers.

• Where most people will work from where ever they want to be:
  • home [boat, summer cottage, ...]
  • local business "centers"
  • offices/factories/... {Traditional working places}
  • 61% in the building but away from desk; 13% out of the building but on the coporate campus; 15% out of the building but in the metropolitan area; and 11% out of the metropolitan area[3]

Users are not simply in fixed locations

Most workers are now mobile - it is just that their computers are teathers!
