Karl Jonsson

My name is Karl Jonsson and I am a PhD student at the Department of Mathematics at KTH in Stockholm. My research interests include

qualitative and quantitative aspects of partial differential equations (PDEs),

free boundaries in PDEs,

homogenization of nonlinear PDEs.

My research supervisors are Henrik Shahgholian and Olof Runborg.

I am currently

doing research.

taking courses at KTH,

one of the technical editors for Acta Mathematica.

teaching in the course SF1668 during the fall of 2016 at KTH.

I have previously

studied Engineering Physics (Teknisk fysik) at KTH.

studied theoretical philosophy at Stockholm university.

been teaching at International College, Stockholm.

been programming and data mining at the R&D department at Scania AB.

worked with patents at Uppdragshuset.

attended the ’Free Boundary Program’ at the Isaac Newton Institute in Cambridge,

attended the ’Homogenization and Random Phenomena’ Program at Institut Mittag-Leffler, Stockholm.

attended the EMS summer school ‘Interactions between Dynamical systems and Partial Differential equations’ at Universitat Politèchnica de Catalunya, Barcelona.

been a part of the organizing committee for Swedish Study Group for Mathematics in Industry 2015 at Institut Mittag-Leffler.

been the editorial assistant for Acta Mathematica.
