Erik Jenelius

About

Erik Jenelius is Associate Professor of Public Transport Systems and Docent in Transport Science at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He is the Head of the Division of Transport Planning within the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering. Erik is the Deputy Director of KTH Transport Platform, and a steering group member of Centre for Traffic Research (CTR) and Transport Research Environment with Novel Perspectives (TRENoP). He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Open Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems and is on the Editorial Advisory Board of Transportation. His research aims to tackle the challenges of congestion, crowding, and environmental impacts in urban transport systems, including the use of emerging sensor technologies. Current research interests include data-driven traffic and mobility management, transportation network and resilience analysis, and transit systems planning and operations.
