The first goal was the result of horrible defensive play from Djurgården. Leksand had four or five chances in a row, picking up rebound after rebound as if there were no defenders. Finally 'Masken' Carlsson put the puck in the empty net.

After this, DIF actually played well for some minutes (but that was just temporary). Nichlas Falk, who before the game was nominated as Rookie of the year, showed his talent with a brilliant pass on which Anders Huusko scored an easy goal. These two players along with Jens Öhling and Thomas Östlund were the only in Djurgården that played at their normal standard.

Before the game, Stefan Lundh said that he was impressed of his team's power play. I'm sure he regrets that today. DIF played terribly inefficient power play and hardly had a shot on goal. Instead Leksand scored 1-3 with one player less. Christian Due-Boje made a remarkably lousy pass that Niklas Eriksson snatched. He gave the puck to Andreas Karlsson who, alone with Östlund, made no mistakes.

A strange thing happened in connection to the 1-3 goal. In an attempt to repair his mistake, Due-Boje gave Andreas Karlsson a huge slashing, and the referee raised his arm right before the goal. After the goal, though, Due-Boje wasn't sent off. As I said, Leksand had one player less. Doesn't that mean that Due-Boje should have been sent to the penalty box anyway? Have I misunderstood something?

This was the worst game in the Globe Arena this season. DIF possessed the puck most of the time, but they were effectively stopped at the blue line by a well playing (but very boring to watch) Leksand defence. With this kind of entertainment, the attendance figures will not get better.

Game rating (1-5): 1
