AIK started very well, and put pressure on the DIF defence in the first two minutes, but Djurgården scored on their first chance by Joakim Lundberg. Then DIF took over the first period, and the 'glamour line': Knutsen, Erickson and Lindqvist had some great moments, but no goals. Instead, AIK scored by Rickard Franzen. In the last minute the glamour line got what they deserved - a goal.

The second period was not very interesting. DIF had most of the possession, but not really very many chances, and no goals were scored.

The beginning of the third period was spent on AIK:s territory. Again Knutsen, Erickson and Lindqvist did almost as they wanted, and Patrik Erickson scored his second goal. Lindqvist was alone with Persson, the AIK goalie, and he waited for ages, before he gave the puck to Erickson, who put it in the net. Where were the AIK defenders? AIK suddenly and unexpectedly scored 2-3 by Tomas Strandberg, and the last minutes were quite nervous, but Anders Huusko managed to get the puck and put it in the open AIK net with 20 seconds left to play.

I rate the game as a 3 on a scale from 1 - 5. It was quite well played, but DIF played a little to good, and you really never had any doubt that they would eventually win the match.

Best goalie: Thomas Östlund, DIF
Best defender: Björn Nord, DIF
Best forward: Patrik Erickson, DIF
