Make Your Images Fit
The Fit Image command resizes an image to fit within a given space without altering its aspect ratio. If you know an image can be only 68 pixels tall--to fit inside a standard ad banner, for instance--you can use the Fit Image tool to resize it quickly and without distortion.

1. Open an image file.

2. Select File/Automate/Fit Image from the main menu.

3. Enter a new width or height, then click OK to resize the image.

As with the Conditional Mode Change automation, there are other ways to accomplish this. You can still resize images by selecting Image/Image Size from the main menu, and making your adjustments in the resulting dialog box. When setting up a batch process, Fit Image works better because it has preset parameters that help you avoid error messages and keep the process running.
