Create Vertical Type When you look under the hood of the new Photoshop 5.0 toolbar, you'll notice some restructuring. Creating vertical type has gotten much easier. In Photoshop 4.0 you had to choose vertical type formatting in the Type Tool dialog box, but the latest version lets you simply select the new Vertical Type Tool from the toolbar. Click an image and the Type Tool is set to format your text vertically. Vertical type can be a practical design choice when your horizontal space is limited and your titles or labels are fairly long. It isn't very easy to read, however, so don't go hog wild with it. If you've got Photoshop tips of your own that you'd like to share, submit them here. Get answers to your Photoshop questions here.
