My name is John Hallmén, I'm 22 years old and live in Stockholm, Sweden.

Occupation
I'm studying electrical engineering at KTH (Royal Institute of Technology).

Interests
My main interest has always been animals and nature. At the age of eleven this interest for some reason began to focus on a group of animals scientifically referred to as amphibians. This group primarily consists of frogs, toads and salamanders. Lately, this interest has actually narrowed down to one particular group of frogs called dendrobatids or Poison Dart Frogs (see the frog section).

Another, more recently discovered, interest of mine is computer graphics. I've always liked drawing and computing (to some extension) and I think combining these interests brings out the best of two worlds. 3D-graphics is also a great possibility the computer provide that actually enables you to build whatever you like and view it from any angle.

My preferred computer platform since beginning of time is Macintosh. Now, the preferred-platform-thing has for some reason become a very sensitive question in many circles - it's almost considered as a religion by some people. I know Mac-users that are constantly fighting their little jihads in their cruel PC-user environments. These are brave people - I know because I've been one of them. Nowadays I'm just ignoring those, almost always, infantile comments and remarks on the fact that I prefer MacOS rather than Windows.
