Kittipong Kittichokechai

Kittipong Kittichokechai is a postdoctoral researcher with the Communications and Information Theory Group at the Technische Universität Berlin. He received the B.Eng. degree (1st Class Honours) in Electrical Engineering in 2007 from Chulalongkorn University, the M.Sc. degree in Wireless Systems in 2009 from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2014 from KTH under the supervision of Prof. Mikael Skoglund and Prof. Tobias Oechtering. In Feb-July 2012, he was a visiting researcher with Prof. Tsachy Weissman’s research group at Stanford University. His research interests include network information theory, information theoretic security, distributed detection, and networked control.

Information security and privacy in multi-terminal lossy data compression

Consider a distributed source coding setting where the communication can be intercepted by an external eavesdropper or an untrusted cooperative terminal in the system. What is the optimal coding strategy which guarantees a minimum information leakage? What is the optimal tradeoff between compression rates over public and private links, distortion, and information leakage?

  • "Secure source coding with a public helper," in Proc. IEEE ISIT 2013, jointly with Y-K. Chia, T. Oechtering, M. Skoglund, and T. Weissman.
  • "Secure source cdoing with action-dependent side information," in Proc. IEEE ISIT 2011, jointly with T. Oechtering, and M. Skoglund.

Coding for communication with additional reconstruction

Consider source and channel coding problems where an extra constraint on signal reconstruction is imposed. What is the impact of such a constraint on the optimal limit/tradeoff of the communications? How does the "action" influence the optimal tradeoff?
