Here I try to provide packages of Heimdal for various operating systems. I use pkgbuild to generate Solaris packages using the native packaging format. I also use rpmbuild to generate packages for Solaris and Linux in RPM format. The input data to pkgbuild and rpmbuild is the same, or mostly so, which is convenient. Of course, source packages are provided with the binaries. The RPM packages are signed with either the KTH ITE (RPM Signature Key) <staff@e.kth.se> or my work key.
These require the sunfreeware packages. (/opt/sfw)
Note that installing the heimdal-server package will enable all the deamons by default. Use svcadm to disable them.
